Auditor

This guide will walk you through the features and capabilities of the "auditor" organization type to help you leverage VeriBOM for your organization's needs.

Auditor organizations have a more restricted role. They can access SBOMs and review them for compliance and security, but they cannot generate or publish SBOMs.

Getting Started

1. Registration and Activation

  • To get started, the organization will be registered through the partner portal. During registration, the "Auditor" organization type is chosen.

  • The organization will receive the invitation via email, and upon accepting the invitation, they will be activated.

2. Dashboard Overview

  • After activation, log in to your VeriBOM account. Your dashboard provides an overview of your organization's activities.

Features and Capabilities

1. Connection Module

  • Utilize the Connection module to manage and establish connections with other organizations.

2. User Module

  • Create and manage users with various roles and permissions.

3. Product Creation

  • Create multiple products of type 'external' based on your organization's needs.

4. SBOM Audit

  • Access and audit SBOMs shared with your organization by the connected publisher organization.

  • Ensure software components comply with licensing and versioning policies.

Visibility and Collaboration

1. Connection Visibility

  • Your organization will be visible to others when they search for connections.

2. Collaboration Opportunities

  • Collaborate with connected organizations on SBOM reviews and audits.
