Organization Types

This section provides an understanding of different organizational types.

In VeriBOM, organization types define the roles and privileges of each organization within the platform. Organizations can be categorized as Publishers, Auditors, or Free Publishers. Publishers have the capability to create, manage, and share software bill of materials (SBOMs), while Auditors specialize in auditing SBOMs shared with them. Free Publishers enjoy limited functionalities for a trial period, providing an opportunity to explore VeriBOM features before opting for a subscription.

Each organization type plays a crucial role in fostering collaboration and ensuring transparency in software supply chain management. Understanding organization types is essential for configuring permissions and access rights correctly.
